OBIEE 12c Running Sum of Total in Pivot Table view

Hi Team,

Customer needs to calculate "Running Sum of Total " in Pivot table view in OBIEE 12c. To get this they tried a lot, but unable to know how to build it. We checked it internally, but didn't find any way as of now. Is there any way to build this metric?

Your yellow line is YTD measure (level-based at Total Product) ... as has been said this isn't how a pivot table works.

Can you show the YTD value by month? absolutely!  A teeny bit of modeling and you'l have it.

Whomever mocked up that grid needs a little more knowledge of how the tool works before accepting requirements (if this indeed was an actual requirement).

Short answer: No you can't have that "yellow line"

Longer answer: That's not how pivot tables work. OBI calculates and renders whole grids of data in tables and pivots. Not cells. That's what you have BIP and Excel for. It's an analytical tool. Not a GUI-tricking and cell-calculating reporting thing.
