Is WriteBack in Pivot table possible?

Hi Team,

I have a requirement to enable WriteBack functionality in one of the Pivot table. I know WriteBack in Pivot is not possible like in Table view, already gone through an article Configuring and Managing Analyses and Dashboards.

Indeed, I thought of a converting my Pivot view to a Table view and then do this WriteBack activity on top of it but is not possible to convert this pivot to table view because of some functional limitations of the report. Please suggest me some alternatives to achieve the same.

Write-back in OBIEE is torturous at best and suicidal at worst. Not sure why it's even a feature because I've yet to meet anyone where it does everything they want it to as standard.

Have you thought about having an APEX application that handles the writeback, and then call it from the OBIEE analytic with values passed in? You can use things like jQuery_UI to make it display as a nice popup etc.
