Which OPatch release should I go for ?

Hi all,

I have OBIEE v12.2.1.2.0 installed on Oracle Linux 7.3 x86-64, I'm planning to apply the "Patch 25353706: ACTION LINK IS NOT WORKING WITH HIDDEN/FIXED OPTION IN COLUMN PROPERTIES" to fix "Bug 25353706 : ACTION LINK IS NOT WORKING WITH HIDDEN/FIXED OPTION IN COLUMN PROPERTIES", in sake of checking my OPatch version I found that:

$ $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch/opatch version

$ OPatch Version: 13.9.1.0.0

the readme instructions for the patch say that and I quote "Oracle Fusion Middleware 12.2.1 products are installed with OPatch NextGen 13.3 to apply interim patches, ... Checking Patch 6880880, if a new version is available , download "OUI NextGen 13.3" for your platform"

when I follow the link for the "Patch 6880880" I get confused:

1st: no ability to select "OUI NextGen 13.3" as a release !!! os does this mean no new version of this release is available ??

2nd: if "OUI NextGen 13.1" or "OUI NextGen 13.2" selected, it says that both for FMW 12.1.x, which is older version than mine "12.2.1.2.0" !!

3rd: selecting "OPatch 13.9.0.0.0" as a release, it says the latest version is 13.9.1.3.0 which is a newer OPatch version than mine "13.9.1.0.0", but in full quote "OPatch version 13.9.1.3.0 (Reuploaded with fix for -silent mode) for Oracle Homes with OUI version 13.6.x and higher" !! is this even what I'm looking for ??

so please give me the right direction, thanks in advance

The 13.9 OPatch version should be fine.

You mean the current OPatch version is fine and no need to update ?

I have the exact OS, OBIEE & OPatch versions as you and I've applied several patches without any issues, so yes, no need to update.
