OBIEE 12c Data Lineage Dashboards?

Im currently using OBIEE 12c
I am trying to create a new data lineage dashboard mapping my clients data from Dashboard to Report to Physical tables/columns
I logged into the catalog manager and went into [Tools -> Create Report]
I see the following options for [Dashboard]
From the left hand side I can select the columns I am interested in to the right
But there is a section "Select Children Type to Report On"
I want to also select the "Analysis" as I want to see the dashboard information AND the dashboard contents.
For the life of me I am unable to select "Analysis"
I am not able to move the column anywhere. Even when its highlighted, it does not show up in my resulting report
Bit embarassed to ask, but what am I missing?
I want to see the dashboard AND the dashboard contents.
Anyone know how to get all the info I need ?

Seems like you forgot to add the columns you want to report on for Children In the "Children Columns in Report" section.
That should give you the report that you want.

Hi Martin
It seems the only way I am able to add a column into the "Children Columns in Report" section, is by selecting from the left hand side "Available Columns"
So I can select ACL, Account Display Name, Account GUID from "Available Columns" into "Children Columns in Report"
But I want to also have an [Analysis] column (located in the Select Children Type to Report On)
I am not able to move the [Analysis] column anywhere

Do you just need the name of the Analysis?
This will get you a report with columns, Folder, Name, Path, Child Name where Child Name contains the Analysis name.

@chillychin Did you manage to get the report that you wanted?

Hi Martin
I was unfortunately not able to get the report like you mentioned.
When I tried to do exactly as you have shown I hit an error
Then the report preview shows this
When I check the paths that are "not found" I do see the paths exist
Not quite sure what is going on?
Would it be possible to see your report output that includes the "child column"?

Like this:
The errors are likely caused by the colon (:) in your path name. The tool doesn't seem to handle non alphanumeric characters correctly.
I do not know how to solve this other than to remove the non alphanumeric characters from your path names, like : ; ( ) + -
Edit: The best thing you can do now is probably create a SR in oracle support.

Hi @chillychin
You need to select something like this to get detail of the "child" in your report. In screenshot below, you'll get Folder, Name & path of Dashboard and also Name & Path of the Analysis on these dashboards.

@Joel Acha , In what way differs your answer from the one that I already gave?

absolutely none at all! I just got an email notification of the OP's issue and replied to that without looking at the entire thread. If anything, it reaffirms the answer that you originally provided.

Ah ok... I was confused if I missed something :-)
