    No. There is only SampleApp.

Any anyways if you really are looking for the Standard Edition - it's really old and made up of deprecated technologies: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-standard-edition/overview/index.html

Which tool could be ideal for building a small scale bi system for a small organization with only 2 users. Just to build a test system.

  • "tool"? Define tool ...

You can setup a VM, a container or install it on a server.

As there isn't one ready to use you have to install it yourself, so the "technical" solution doesn't really matter....

I have to develop a small scale reporting system. OBIEE is heavy and not required as it is very small system. That is why i was searching for standard edition. Instead of obiee can you kindly suggest something else.

  • Who is going to pay?

Because licensing is the keyword in the end ...

Did you look at cloud? In OAC you can get a small instance and it's provided "ready to use", so maybe it's a solution.

Then you have Data Visualization Desktop which could be enough.

Gianni was faster, but - yeah it comes down to who will be paying and how much. Oracle has cloud, on-premises and desktop solutions. OAC for cloud, OBIEE for on-premises and DVD for the desktop respectively.

But I suggest you rather have a proper look at what you are trying to do and what you really NEED - not "what people dream up as what they could want".

For basic reporting a lot of times even a simple APEX application is sufficient. And APEX is free when you already have the database
