OBIEE 12c licensing question
Hi,
Our BIF licensing agreement states we have 2 processor perpetual and 25 named user plus perpetual. I'm have some questions:
- Does this mean we can install OBIEE on a server up to max of 2 processors?
- We can only have max of 25 users logging into the system?
- If we have 1 developer building reports and sending it to 5 different recipients. Is this still considered 1 or 5 named users?
- How many environments can we have? We currently have a DEV, TEST and PROD.
- How does Oracle enforce the license agreement? I didn't need to enter any license key. Is it an honest system with Oracle?

Honestly get in touch with your Oracle representative to get these answers (and ask him to reply by email or writing and not just over the phone so you have something written).
Oracle license do not ask you to enter any license key, but if you use something you aren't allowed by the licenses you own or more users etc. You can be in trouble if Oracle does an audit of your usage, and you will have to pay fines for not-licensed things you used.
So ask Oracle to get the real answer as these topics are always quite complex and often I heard different things from a client to another because everything is based on the exact agreement done with Oracle.
