Problems Editing Reports with 100 columns in OBIEE

Hi - We have some reports where the number of columns are very high 100 or 100+. While building these reports we are facing a problem saving or editing these reports. Could anyone suggest how this can be resolved.
Pls note we had to add these many columns as the user wants these many field on the report. Its a simple tabular report with no report level calculations.
OBIEE Version:
OBIEE 12.2.1.2.0
Thanks

Hi @Phantasm,
Aren't you working with Rahul? Error while saving an OBIEE report with 100+ columns
PS: "wrong tool for the wrong job" seems to match sadly ...

The user wants a data dump ... satisfy that requirement straight from the database OR use BI Publisher to query the data straight to excel

Not more to add to this but maybe you're using the wrong tool. OBIEE is more of an analytical tool as opposed to a data extraction tool.

Yep... BIP is the winner here. Simple to use.

@Phantasm You have not responded to a single answer you've gotten in here. Have you simply abandoned this thread?

Maybe the pseudonym is appropriate, he briefly haunts a forum and then vanishes leaving only the impression that something un-natural was here...
I for one find 100 column reports used as data dumps scary!

Typical "leech" behaviour

When creating a large report I find that it runs a lot smoother if you hide the report output by clicking on "Display Results" Icon within the view editor screen (Third from the Right)

If he's having issues building the report, how do you think his users are going to go viewing it.
It's a bad solution. No amount of band-aids or workarounds will fix that.0
