Socket Communication Errors in 12c
Hi,
We're running 12.2.1.3 on Windows 2012 as a single node installation. We frequently run into the errors below which stop users from running dashboard queries until they log out and back in again. I appreciate that it's a fairly generic error but I'm looking to see if anyone has tackled this elusive beast previously and has some insight on what to do to stop it happening. Any help greatly appreciated!
Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 12002] Socket communication error at call=send: (Number=10053) An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
Please have your System Administrator look at the log for more details on this error. (HY000)

Is there anything in your BI Server log (nqserver.log) to suggest that it crashed?
Do you have any core dump files present?

Nothing to suggest that it has crashed (we see those too often also but generally the two aren't linked). When it occurs all processes are running ok and it's often not for every user that the issue occurs but generally it's either for just one or two or sometimes everybody at once. I had thought that it would be a session expiry time type issue but have been unable to reproduce the issue even when setting those to be very short.
