I have a dashboard page with multiple reports on.
I want to perform a single drill action on an analysis which then changes the filter on numerous child reports not all of which are pointing at the same subject area.
Any suggestions please?
The trick I have used in the past is to have a hidden dashboard prompt which 'catches' (no added plumbing required) the drill action on the main report, having the drill pointed at the same dashboard page for any of the reports which is correlated, on the hidden dashboard prompt setting a presentation variable which is the filter on all of the analyses which are not on the same subject area.
Or for those on the same subject area you can use the prompt section to catch the prompt.
The presentation variable trick can also be useful for displaying the currently applied filter via text area or headings in reports.
This is tried and tested and in many a production system.
Also, but I never tested this, I do not see why you could not set up a master detail solution to get multiple analyses to all listen to the same channel.
But as I say, I have not tested this idea.

I scheduled the report in OTBI and the agent was run successfully. However, I do not receive the report after the run in my inbox. The addresses are properly recorded, and the report is in an excel format and saved as a pivot table in otbi. What can be the cause?
