Restore Favorites in OBIEECatalog

Hi,

Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.1.0

I am looking for a way to restore favorites data from catalog backup. Issue is one of the user added few analysis to favorites and now its missing. Found a bug on this on oracle support site. (Doc ID 2113640.1). We have daily catalog backup. Is it possible to restore the favorites for a user from backup catalog ? I saw a file named _favorites in catalog, but its type is mentioned Mobile Favorites.

Yes. the .atr ALWAYS must be restored with the file or the folder. It contains all the security and properties of the catalog items/folder.

Thanks Christian. I can see the contents in backup file. Do I need to replace its corresponding .atr file as well ?

Click "Edit XML" and check whether what he wants is inside. Best way to be sure is to simpy check.
