excel file not uploading as it exceed size of 100 mb in OBIEE Visual Analyser. Any workaround?

I am trying to upload an excel file to an existing Data Visualizer. I have already uploaded a file that contains data from Jan 18 to May 18. Now I am trying to reupload the whole file that contains the data from Jan -18 to Jul -18, the file size increases to 114 MB.

Is there any way to increase the maximum size limit?

or a way to upload the data only from May-18 to Jul-18 and merge it inot already uploaded file ?

Have you tried increasing the catalog size limit -

I was hoping for a solution that could allow me to merge new data to existing excel file. Because increasing the size wont suffice as the data will keep on growing.

"as the data will keep on growing" - maybe now is the time to take a step back and reconsider basing your reports off a large excel data source - I know some companies centre their BI solutions (sic) entirely around excel uploads, but excel; does not scale, does not tune, has no partitions, no indexes; should really only be considered a temporary measure fit for short term needs until you can put in place a data warehouse based solution.

Couldn't agree more with you @Robert Angel. In an ideal situation, the OP should be getting the data from the actual source rather than Excel downloads/uploads/manipulation etc.

re: 'ideal solution' - I don't live in an ivory tower - but I do have the battle scars of sub-optimal solutions which invariably wind up costing more time and money in the long run, and can destroy the reputation of the BI solution in question.

That's pretty much what Data Flows in DV / DVD are for.

But seriously - that's at best a temporary and sub-optimal solution as Robert already stated. Whenever Excel is "the solution" then things like legal questions, compliance and data governance seem to be pretty much alien concepts to anyone doing this.
