I have a requirement for create an audit kind of report where values will be generated for each individual employee in the 2nd report through OTBI. e.g. Employee#Job CodeGrade123400112567800245 Now each Job code has it's own defined Grade values in separate report Job CodeGrade0011200223003340044500556 Based on this 2nd table, 2nd employee(Employee# 5678) in the 1st table has given a wrong Grade(correct Grade based on Job code should be 23) and I have to flag that in the 1st report. How to Pass Value from one report to the 2nd report and compare the column value in the 2nd report

Now each Job code has it's own defined Grade values in separate report

2.) Are you talking about BI Publisher "reports"? Or OBIEE "analyses"?

This is through OTBI Subject Area, which is similar to OBIEE analysis.

Ok so you are talking about analyses and not reports.

Now that the basic information is provided please explain more in detail what you are trying to achieve because your initial post doesn't show what you're trying to do.

I have created below report

Report #1

Job Code	Grade
001	12
002	23
003	34
004	45
005	56

where each job code has it's defined Grade information.

now the Report #2 shows employee level information

Employee#	Job Code	Grade
1234	001	12
5678	002	45

where the Grade values need an audit based on the Report #1 Grade value based on Job code and if the Grade values are different than it's listed out in Report #1 for a Job code than mark it.

Ok you keep insisting on using the word "report" so I must ask for confirmation again:

WHAT are you talking about? BI Publisher "reports" or OBI "analyses"?!

Those are two totally different technologies and two totally different tools / products / software packages / whatever you want to call it.

Mr. Berg - You asked for clarification and the OPster copied the OPost ... no wonder you lose it!

Now 3283945 ... when you pass one value from an ANALYSIS to another you are doing so as a filter ... you are better off showing both reports and letting the user input the target (value from ANALYSES 1) and use that in ANALYSES 2 ... you really aren't filtering with that value, rather you are calculating.

I have mentioned in my previous reply to @Christian Berg that the reports are using OTBI subject area.

But you seem not to comprehend that two technologies behave differently and have a different impact on the solution because even if a skateboard and a Formula 1 car can both be counted as "methods of transportation" you wouldn't fix a Formula 1 car the same way as you fix a skateboard.

Still since the OP doesn't seem to want to acknowledge this in spite of multiple questions I leave this thread to someone else.

I thought I provided all necessary details to the community to look in to and help with expert advice.

I am referring here to OBI analyses(Subject Area) where both analysis are it's own report.
