Problem with create System DNS in ODBC 64 for BI 12.2.1.3.0

Question

Hi,

I am using Windows Server R12.

I want to install bi_client_12.2.1.3.0_Windows.x64 and configure ODBC for him to connect rpd ONLINE.

I installed Admin Tool - he is working ok.

Now I want create odbc for him.

Open ODBC64 , System DSN and ADD and select: Oracle BI Server-OBI12Client (12.02.01.03, Oracle Corporation, NQSODBC64.DLL)

When I select and click Finish - window close and nothing I can do.

Can someone have problem something like that?

Maybe Can I create driver manual in some file?

Hi,

Robert has right about my question.

I select driver:

Oracle BI Server or Oracle BI Server-OBI12Client.

Next I want to click Finish - I should see new windows with properties (host, login, pass, port etc.) - BUT when I click finish all window disapear and I can't set properties.

I check others driver (like:  Oracle in OraDB12Home1 or Oracle 8.0 MongoDB) and it's working fine.

IN Registry Editor my driver Oracle BI Server-OBI12Client looks like:

Hi Joel,

I think I have witnessed what he is describing, but for the life of me cannot recall the fix.

I think he is saying that when he clicks 'Finish' on the second window that the entire stack of windows disappears - no visual error or anything, but if you reopen it has not kept what you configured, I think we worked round at the time with the 32 bit driver, but it is sometime ago so I could be mistaken...
