Is 'EXECUTE DIRECT DATABASE REQUESTS' has been deprecated for BI ADMINISTRATOR ROLE?
If yes, then what are the alternatives for accessing the DB directly?

Even after setting "Allow" for "DDR" in Identity Manager for BIAdministrators Role, I am still seeing the same error.
Am I missing something here?

You changed the setting against the connection pool also, as described in the link I posted?
Finally, I got the results.
There was a mismatch between Roles from the privileges from Presentation Admin to Identity Manager.
