OBIEE 11g Connection with HIVE DB

Hi,

I am trying to connect OBIEE 11g with HIVE 1.2 DB and I am getting below error message. I am able to telnet from obiee server to hive.

Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: S1000 code: 0 message: [Oracle][ODBC Apache Hive Wire Protocol driver]General error.Thrift protocol using unversioned messages.. [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: S1000 code: 1202 message: [Oracle][ODBC Apache Hive Wire Protocol driver]Error switching to requested database (default)..     Hi Christian,

    Thanks for your response.

    I am using 11.1.1.7

    I am connecting Admin tool with Horton Works hive driver 2.1 and database  type as Apache Hadoop and call interface as Default odbc 2.0

    In Server, I have modified OPMN.xml with LD_Library path, PATH, created variable for HADOOP_DLL to 7.0.1 path under Merant in ODBC drivers and configured ODBC.ini files for data source.

    But still im not able to connect to Hive DB. I am able to see physical query generation in session log. After that query is getting terminated with error message.

    11.1.1.7 is extremely old and never did support Hive officially if I remember correctly.

    From obiee 11.1.1.7 we have hive compatibility. But im not sure what will be the reason for this error. whether Hive 1.2 is compatible with data direct 7.1 and able to see the logs of obiee in hive server and no error were resulted in hive Server log.

    Inn OB IEE, im getting connection refused error
