OBIEE installation

Hi Experts,

1) How do we can identify our OBIEE 11g installed on Enterprise only or Software only ? using software folders or anyway?

Did you install OBIEE into an existing Fusion Middleware home? In other words, did you install just the OBIEE binaries without WebLogic?

Can you tell me what is the difference both installation software only vs enterprise only

I know with software only we have to install weblogic separately rcu, OBIEE install, config, etc

in enterprise only no need of weblogic serparte installation

If I do first time installation which is the best option to select.

If you do this the first time, then definitely go for Enterprise and don't over-complicate your life. First learn how things work and then start playing with the more special and advanced options.

First identify which version you want to install! 11g is getting old, maybe worth to think at 12c directly.

Depends on your architecture. As Christian said Enterprise is maybe the best way to go except if you have a very special need that would justify software only. Based on the questions you must be looking for a classical simple install, therefore Enterprise is more than enough for what you are after.

The question would mainly be: what are you trying to do? Sounds like you have an install already, so what task do you have in mind now? (Just wanting to make sure we aren't in a classical http://xyproblem.info/ case)
