OBIEE12.2.1.4.0 - Minimum version of Acrobat Reader that can export data from Analysis / Dashboard /

Hello Experts,

We have OBIEE 12.2.1.4.0 on Linux.

In our rollout plan , we want to standardize a version of Acrobat Reader in order to avoid issues with users having different versions of the Acrobat Reader.  We are trying to find what is the min version that will allow successful exports in PDF format in OBIEE 12.2.1.4.0

Please advise.

As Joel said the certification matrix give you an info on what minimum version.

Just worth adding that the export in PDF isn't done by Acrobat Reader or any other tool installed on your client, it's done by the server itself, therefore the export will always be successful from a client point of view. And I never heard of people not able to open the generated PDF.

I would suggest you follow the Adobe rules on defining which version to install (they must have some guidelines on how to manage Acrobat Reader from a corporate point of view more for security fixes than with an OBIEE compatibility in mind).

Thanks for this important insight. Very pertinent information.   I was led to believe that a plug-in does the exports and pdf reader does the rendering part..
