Use OPatch to validate that the patch has been installed:

    https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1221/core/OPATC/GUID-7CCCA18F-FFAD-4A47-95C4-FB6994C137B0.htm#OPATC116

if you execute the OPatch lsinventory command, it should list all patches that have been applied in your domain.

    Hi Joel Acha,

Patch is applied successfully even I check the Opatch lsinventory it shows the patch list, but my question is here after lapping the patch

it shows me in the administration tab 11.1.1.9.0 (Build 190206.0500 64-bit). So is this correct ?I thought it should shows version like this 11.1.1.9.190416.

    Thanks

  • It looks like they don't update the version in the front-end all the time based on the bundle patch you apply.

With 12c there are many patches which just never change the number there and generating tons of questions if the patch is applied or not.

The official answer is what Joel said: opatch is the way to know which patches are installed or not, anything else isn't a safe and valid reference.

(And yes, we all agree it would be easier if that number there in the front end would be the exact version with bundle patch number included )

A good example of this is Oracle Analytics Cloud which has a variety of version numbers (5.2, 105.2, 19.1.1) for the same "version".
