OBIEE latest patches

Dear Experts,

1) I installed OBIEE Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 11.1.1.9.0 and applied latest patches 11.1.1.9.190716 then I can see analytics administration page is

:Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 11.1.1.9.0 (Build 190206.0500 64-bit)" is it correct ?

2) I am planning to upgrade from obiee 11g to 12.2.1.4.0 , could you please suugest me which is the better

a) first apply weblogic and OBIEE 12c latest patches then upgrade

b) first upgrade 11g to 12c then apply 12c latest patches

I would take the version numbers on the Admin page with a pinch of salt. This article explains the version numbers that you are seeing - https://support.oracle.com/knowledge/Enterprise%20Performance%20Management%20and%20Business%20Intelligence/2289049_1.htm…  .

With regards to your upgrade process, take a look at the Oracle upgrade guide. In summary you'll need to install WebLogic and OBIEE 12.2.1.4.0 and then apply the latest OBIEE bundle patch -

Patch 29640387: OBI BUNDLE PATCH 12.2.1.4.190716.
