Log optimisation OBIEE 12c

Hi all,

After realising how detrimental to performance logging can be recently, i'm now wondering what the most efficient logging configuration is in OBIEE 12c.
Places to change log settings (that I know of) are as follows:

In EM under log configuration you can set log levels for each specific component. Default: Info.
In EM, for each server you can set everything under root logger. Most of these default to "Warning" or "Notification" but there are certain parts set to trace.
In RPD, you can set loglevel in session variable for each logged in user.

I would like to have as little logging turned on as possible where it may affect query performance.
Does anyone have any specific recommendations or "best practices" that are not in Oracle documentation.
