Is there typical web service platform like REST API, offered by Visual Analyzer, BI Publisher tools

Hello All,

Can we use Visual Analyzer (VA), BI publisher (BIP) and BI answers (BIA) as a web services platform to generate reports?

For example I heard that there are web applications like SAS dashboard with GUI to generate reports through GUI.

Database and SAS dashboard applications interact through web service interface like ws02.

However I wanted to know if there is typical web service platform like REST API, offered by VA, BIP and BIA tools to generate these reports.

There is a WSDL describing all the "classic" analysis (Answers).

There is a service for Publisher as well but it's maybe more to execute existing reports (didn't look at it for some years).

AFAIK there isn't a proper web service for DV (the new name of VA). There are REST APIs in DV but most of them aren't public and documented. They are doing some work in that direction to expose some of them.

As a DV project is objects in the catalog, you can still use the "classic" WSDL services to generate the files.
