We patched up to 11.1.1.9 from 11.1.1.7 and now the drop downs and action links are no longer working consistently. There will be times when initially the graph links will work but won't after the first click. The drop downs won't work at all. These all work in 11.1.1.7.

  • It's known that an upgrade require fixes.

You come from a very very very old and unsupported version and upgraded to a very very old one.

One of the tasks of the upgrade is to review the new version and fix all what requires a fix.

Your thread is extremely generic and sound more like a rant than a question.

Oracle will probably tell you to upgrade to 12 before they look into this. Have you tried other machines, other browsers, clearing browser cache etc? Have you also taken a look at the log files?

    Adding to Gianni and Joel:

1.) Upgrading to 11.1.1.9 is pretty pointless since as the terminal release of the 11g family it's already extremely outdated. "Jumping" to 11.1.1.9 gives you a system that has itself been replaced 5 years ago.

2.) The whole 11g family was been replaced with 12c in 2015 which itself has already replaced been by Oracle Analytics Server beginning of this year.

3.) You do not state and CLEAR version numbers like 11.1.1.7.140225 or 11.1.1.9.181016

4.) You started on a version that was released more than 7 years ago at a time where IE8 was corporate standard and things like Flash still were a thing. At some point you pay the price for not keeping up with technology so the only oone to blame is whoever took the decision NOT to update and NOT to go the latest version.

Yes we did try that and I am trying to convince them to upgrade. After much discussion with the dba is seems there was a patch to the patch that he needed to apply.  I appreciate the response.

A community is based on participation and not solely coming here to get your problems solved.

So in this spirit can you please share the patch? The forum is there for all users to benefit and holding back information which could help them isn't good etiquette.
