OBIEE catmancredetials.properties encryption

Is there any way to secure/encrypt catmancredetials.properties files which will be needed when invoking runcat.sh. This file stores credentials as plain text. I have already gone through one approach mentioned in rittmanmead blog. Is there another option which any of you use currently/aware of.
