OAS 5.9 on red hat enterprise linux (rhel) server 8.0
Is OAS 5.9 competible with RHEL 8.0 ? We just recently install OAS 5.9 on RHEL 7.0 but looking to upgrade. I can't seem to find out competibility chart of OAS 5.9.

RHEL 8.0 is not there at the moment. Certification evolves over time but we can't comment on this in detail here. You can always open a Service Request for this.

Compatible? Maybe, could probably work.
Certified? No
It's a difference in wording which can mean a lot: if it's a sandbox you can live without a certified system, if it's production you would be really brave. Mainly because a not certified system could mean Oracle telling you the issue is your system and not their product.
OAS 5.9 is on the same FMW as 5.5, the 12.2.1.4, which itself is certified for OL and RHEL 8, but the current certification for OAS says it isn't.
You could try asking Oracle (via a SR) an official answer about the certification of RHEL 8 or the plans for it.
