Corrupt SampleAppv607 files for OBIEE 12c 12.2.1.1.0?

Hey there,

I want to the test the functionality of the OBI Administration Tool. That's why I try to use the SampleAppv607 to have a Sample.rpd file as base. After the download I try to unzip the first of the five SampleAppv607 (OBIEE Samples (oracle.com)), but I get a CRC-Error. Is the file in general corrupt or did I something wrong here?

    What browser are you using and what program are you using to unpack?

    Some browsers try to be "clever" and change the file endings. Check that your files correspond to what's on the page and check the MD5.

    I am using Microsoft Edge as browser and 7-zip as unzip program.

    When I download the first package (SampleAppv607p-appliance.zip.001) as you told my browser converts it to SampleAppv607p-appliance.zip.zip. With Mozilla Firefox I don't face that issue. But how can I unzip a file when the ending is not .zip like in this case .zip.001?

    The endings must be .zip.001, .zip.002.....zip.005 as outlined in the document. Otherwise 7zip doesn't know how to treat them.

    Never trust a thing that MS does automagically ;)
