What exact version? Are you using Answers or DV? Please provide a minimum of pertinent information with each of your questions. Nobody sits in front of your system except you, so we can't help you properly if w don't have the same information as you :)

Opps, sorry. I am using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.7 (OBI)

Click the formula button f(...) in the "Edit Formula" dialog. Scroll through the functions to the Calendar/Date functions and open those. There are 3 out-of-the-box functions deriving month information from dates:

Also: "11.1.1.7" describes about 50 versions over the whole lifetime of 11.1.1.7, so please provide a FULL version next time, up to the bundle patch information like 11.1.1.7.190324

Also also: 11.1.1.7 as a whole is outdated and no longer supported (premier support) since 2018. In the meantime there were 11.1.1.9, 12.2.1.0, 12.2.1.1, 12.2.1.2, 12.2.1.3, 12.2.1.4, OAS5.5 and OAS 5.9 which itself will be replaced by the newest OAS in early 2022 again.

So you're literally 8 (and soon 9) major releases away from the current state of technology. That's dangerous at best since there are no more security patches being done for your version AND you're missing out on 7 years of product development and features which you'd be entitled to have with your licenses but simply aren't using because you stayed on old tech.

    tl;dr version: Upgrade! :)
