Restrict not show the output and should display after clicking on apply button

HI,

my requirement is when user opens the dashboard page, just want display blank page output report with default values On dashboard prompts

But when user clicks on apply button, original report output should be displayed.

please note that all my prompts has default values and those are valid values.i can't change any default values or can't add any additional prompts.

i Tried with adding condition for displaying report output, but in this case I should give all valid default values in dashboard prompts and can't add any additional prompts to give one small condition to display results.

anyone suggest me how can I achieve this?

First there is no a specific way from obiee 11g, this would be a part.of enhancement.

as a work around your could put use the dashboard prompt.from the analysis.object directly, whenever.you.create your "analysis" object you.could see a tab.called."prompt" in.this tab you could create your analysis and by default you could first get the prompt and after it set your parameters (at this time you have in.blank your analysis) put the parameters and.you get the analysis with data.

1. New->analysis-> choose your subject area

2. Create your analysis in the criteria tab

3. Create your views that you want in the results tab.

4. In the prompts tab set your.parameters as your dashboard prompts.

5. Publish it in your dashboard.page.
