OAS - Session Personalization using System Session Variables

Description
, a number of system variables have been deprecated and marked as "Might be desupported in a future release". One such variable is PORTALPATH. According to the documentation there is an option to set this in the System Settings Console page. This variable is used to set the default dashborad a user is directed to after logging on. Currently, this can be made to act dynamically and users with specific application roles can be directed to different dashboards. In the Systems Settings page, there is only an option to set asingle global PORTAL path value. Will there be any likelihood of providing similar OBIEE functionality to be able to dynamically set the PORTALPATH variable?
Use Case and Business Need
As mentioned above, users with app role A ,for example, can be directed to dashboard A and users with app role B, can be directed to dashboard B.
More details
OAS only provides an option to set a global single value of this variable in the System Settings page

Definitelly the current functionality (as in OBIEE 12c), which allows you to dynamically (via Init Block) to set PORTALPATH variable (different values for logged user based on his login) should be in place also in Oracle Analytics Server (or in OAC as well)

We are using dynamic default dashboards as well. However the end user should be able to override the default in their profile settings.
My Account -> Preferences -> Starting Page
in Classic.

In my organization we are using dashboards for Accountants, HR Managers and Budget Officers. Each user type should start at a different location. Allowing the end user to choose their default is preferred, but I would like to direct them to a role based default if they have not set a preference.

We also use different dashboards based on role. We've put a lot of effort into making this work to minimize the training needed for the majority of users. Once they log in they have everything they need on their default dashboard and it has been this way for many years starting with our 11g on prem OBIEE solution.
The ability to dynamically set the PORTALPATH (or at least assign a PORTALPATH to a Role) needs to exist.
