Alternative Sort Column

Description

Need ability to provide alternative sort column or hide the sort column like OAC classic so data can be rendered correctly. Can only sort Alphabetically on Visualizer.

Use Case and Business Need

Refer bar chart where the months cannot be sorted correctly Putting month number to sort correctly but then label has 1,Jan ; 2,Feb etc. that doesn't look good

Very good point. We miss user experience and need to try work-arounds to solve these items.

You can do it if your DV environment is based on a subject area (RPD).

There are a lot of cases in which the order of the items presented in a visualization has to be based on criteria not related to the alphabetical order of the dimension/numerical value of any involved measure.

I agree. We end up creating custom calc as a work around to solve this issue in my org.

Almost everyone needs this feature since having Month sorted by month number is a very common requirement.

Delivered in 6.1. Ability to sort an attribute column based on a measure that is not participating in the visualization.
