Sharing is being worked on. In the meantime, you can use Content Management to help with situations like a departed user.

Reminder: people leave the company. what happens when an author leaves? can another author "inherit" the object for future modifications, maintenance, etc.?

Totally agreed with you Marcelo. there is a WA some posts above that explain how to change the data flow ownership but the option to share data flows is needed.
