OBIA and OBIEE rpd interaction question

Hello, experts.
I'm looking into -- for the first time -- the work to implement an out of the box obiee subject area and reports related to the pre-delivered data models.
My initial understanding is that the Data Warehouse Admin Console (DAC) works with Informatica to build and populate the dimensionally modeled tables.
I've been able to find this documentation - which seems to address the configuration needed for the data models and transformations.
I'm assuming the out of box OBIA solution also includes pre-built obiee metadata repository subject areas and catalog content.
The doc stops short of discussing how the subject areas are created in the obiee metadata repository and how the catalog content is loaded.
If the documentation discussing the rpd and catalog content exists, I'm not yet using the right search terms to dig it up.
I'm new to the pre-configured OBIA solutions and am hoping there are some people that might have some helpful references.
Would you please help me understand how the dimensional tables built via DAC and informatica are configured/referenced by the obiee metadata repository?
Where is that pre-built catalog content stored that will reference the pre-built metadata repository subject area?
Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

Sharing more information re this post.
Looks like there may be some preconfigured facts and dimensions in the BMM layer. Once our data loads are enabled for the dimensional and fact tables. It looks as though it may be an effort of creating the presentation catalogs and populating those with the appropriate dims and facts.
I'm continuing to investigate.
Any tips or references are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Are you implementing Oracle BI Apps or Oracle Transactional BI, or Oracle BI Fusion edition? usually the install/config process depending on options you choose will build the RPD (business model) and the web catalog (reports and dashboards) and put them in the OBIEE default locations for both.

Thanks for weighing in, Thomas.
We're implementing Oracle BI Apps and the documentation implies that there are delivered OBIEE dashboards. I'm assuming there are also delivered metadata repository subject areas as well. The physical and bmm layers of the metadata repository look promising -- that is, the logical tables and physical table references seem to exist.
Assuming there are delivered dashboards and metadata repository subject areas, I'm looking for details of how to implement those.
I thought there'd be some catalog content for the dashboards. If it exists within the install directory, I haven't found it yet.
This post references some documentation that looks promising: Oracle® Business Intelligence Applications Content Guide Release 7.9.6,7.9.6.1 [ID 832690.1]
However, I'm not able to get more information on that yet.
Are you (others feel free to join in too) able to further detail the implementation steps related to the delivered dashboards included in the Oracle Business Intelligence Application (7.9.6.1)? If there are existing dashboards which need to be moved around within install directories, any considerations of where those are?
Thanks again - Fritz

Did you follow the implementation/configuration guide yet? or are you at the initial installation?
The newer versions of the Apps use ODI as the ETL/ELT tool, but the foundation is the same. Here's a link to the Apps documentation library:

I recently joined the company and developers that performed the initial module implementations are no longer with company.
My teammate and I are at the initial stages of framing out a high level of what needs to be done to implement a particular subject area.
So we have not done any installations or configurations as of yet.
Thanks again, Thomas.

Hi
I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for but by default we get "Sample" Subject Area. This comes with general Installation . The catalog has myriad number of reports covering all the features of this tool. Here are some screenshots please see if they are helpful .
The catalog contains reports like below
If this is not what you were looking for please ignore

Thank you for contributing, Anjam.
I'm looking for something different in this case.
Specifically, I'm seeking information about the delivered dashboard content associated with the OBIA implementation.
For example, these instructions for configuring Oracle's Procurement and Spend Analytics reference delivered dashboards. I'm wondering how those dashboards get enabled, how to identify the components (anlayses, dashboard prompts) of those dashboards, etc.

Let me check if I already have on my BI environment .

The catalog and RPD get built when you install ... You will get the full complement of modules - then you can trim out the ones you are not licensed to be using.

Thanks, Thomas.
This is consistent with what I've found too.
For my particular situation, the presentation catalogs and catalog content related to Procurement and Spend were deleted from the presentation layer and catalog, respectively.
As you mention, it was necessary to re-install OBIA. The presentation catalog and catalog content were available after this re-installation within the new install directory.
Thanks for your help on this one.
