OBIEE 12C - VM WARE is it ok to install under VM Ware

I can not find anywhere in search if it is ok to install OBIEE12c under VM Ware whether it be under a Linux or Windows Kernal. Does anyone have any links to this data or information whether it is supported or not? This would be much appreciated.
