Error in uploading RPD file

Hello experts ..

After executing the RPD upload command using the data-model-cmd.sh file.

Command:

./data-model-cmd.sh uploadrpd -I /oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/user_projects/domains/bi/bidata/service_instances/ssi/metadata/datamodel/K.rpd -SI ssi -U weblogic -P oracle12c

RPD Password:

i get the following error:

Service Instance: ssi

Operation failed.

An exception occurred during execution, please check server logs.

i tried restarting the bi server but nothing...

any idea about this?

(note that i consider myself as a beginner so providing details would be appreciated)

    Have you considered doing what the error is saying?

    An exception occurred during execution, please check server logs.

    obis1-diagnostic.log biserver1.log or other server logs?

    Thanks FTisiot for replaying. I checked the logs as you mentioned but really can't get any ideas from it...

    Is this

    /oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/user_projects/domains/bi/bidata/service_instances/ssi/metadata/datamodel/K.rpd

    a valid RPD?

    I apologize for my late replay... i checked the global consistency for the RPD file and it shows 0 errors, 0 warnings and no best practice violations.

    Translation: You are asking the OP If he is running 12.2.1.0.0 without any patchh.

    @3e41a5e4-9ca1-4289-8170-296af4ba40ff The post he mentions just says that this could be due to a bug in the base 12c release - 12.2.1.0.0

    biserver1 is the managed server - we need the Oracle BI Server log Francesco mentioned: obis1-diagnostic.log
