OBIEE - master child detail

Sorry in advance if my problem seems rudimentary. I have done the master child detail before but for some reason cannot get something simple working on a different analysis.
Scenario - 2 separate graphs/analysis
1st line-bar graph - has revenue by year and line shows the moving average of revenue for each year
2nd bar graph - regular bar graph that I'd like to show where the sales are coming from (electronics, mobile devices, etc)
I have set up my "year" dimension to send a master child link to the second graph. I have done this by specifying a channel on the 1st graph for Year and letting the 2nd graph/analysis read the specified channel on the graph properties. When I go into my dashboard (which includes these 2 graphs) and drill down on the Year for the first graph, nothing changes for the second graph. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Assuming you've set up things properly, there's no reason for it not to work. Both your master and detail views are view types that can be used (graphs) so it should work.
I'd suggest you to take a look at the documentation here (don't know which version you're using since you didn't mention it) and double-check you followed the correct steps. If that still doesn't help you, I'd suggest you put here some screenshots of the definition of your master-detail views so we can try to help you more.

Have you remembered to include your "Year" column in the 'Graph Prompts' area in your 2nd graph?
