How to apply shorting on Water fall report in OBIEE 12 C

Hi Experts,

We have report like below:

Dim1 measure1 seq

union

Dim2 measure2 seq

union

Dim3 measure3 seq

where in seq we are giving values like 1,2,3 etc. and shorting working fine on Seq in case of table/pivot view . But in Waterfall view its, shorting automatically on Dim1 values.We tried with result column shorting also,but no luck.

Please suggest,How we can apply shorting in waterfall based on Seq.

or any other suggestion pls.

Assuming you talk of "sorting" instead of "short selling" (shorting Meaning in the Cambridge English Dictionary ).

Which exact version of OBIEE 12c ?

Looks good in mine as long as the sorting column is placed before the "Dim 1/2/3" column.

12.2.1.3 : work as expected

(sample using 3 UNION, normal order would by "BizTech", "FunPod", "HomeView")

The sorting column has values defined by hand for each query (10, 20, 30), adding it before the "Brand" the sorting is based on this column instead of "Brand", if I then make it hidden it will not be visible but still force the sorting.

So you probably have an issue somewhere as it's the standard behaviour ...
