Issue with Column width formatting

Hi all,
I am trying to format the report column(s) width in pivot view in the following way. I have done for headers and values and wrapped.
I have a report split with Supplier column(column in section part of pivot view).
The column width is not coming proper (as i set fixed width, If you see above screen shot "MLX Package" column width is changing for supplier to supplier).
How to achieve this accurately.
Regards,
Chandra.

You should set this in the Additional Formatting Options section :
Have you tried that?

Hi,
if you have any text in the field in question that does not have a space, or as a space very late in the string then you will find that the column will still expand to NOT break the "words" mid-word.
So if you have something like this
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 123
Then if your width is smaller than 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz' it will still expand it to accommodate 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz' without breaking the characters.
So if you had a character that was (say) 240 characters long with no spaces then your column will always be at least that wide.
I once wrote a function to enable me to introduce spaces to get around this (and sorry, no I did not keep the syntax), after, probably like yourself, not understanding why OBIEE seemed to be ignoring my instructions on width and not expanding...

Hi All,
The only problem is when export this report with multiple sections (Supplier), the formatting in excel becomes very difficult. Please advice how to go about this.

Chandra.
