Is it possible to upload multiple RPD's in single BI server in OBIEE 12C ?

Hi All ,

We would like to deploy multiple RPD's in one BI sever in OBIEE 12.2.1.3.0( Or any version of OBIEE 12C) .

Is it possible ? If yes please let us know the steps to deploy multiple RPD's in server.

No, that's not how the product works for now.

There has been something similar announced when 12c was about to be released, a concept of pluggable BI, but it isn't coded or available now.

So 1 OBIEE instance = 1 RPD for any OBIEE version (12c, 11g etc.)

You can of course merge your multiple RPD into a single one. If you adopted naming conventions you will manage to avoid naming conflicts, so the merge will be not to complicated probably.

Still not sure what their one "BI pod" (I think that was their term) was suppoed to be in detail.

That said - @sureshreddy what do you mean by "deploy" exactly? Just have the RPD loaded by the server and accessible via ODBC?

It just isn't supported, you can have only a single service instance.
