How to create a treemap in OBIEE without applying aggregation on measure column?

Hi Guys,

I am stuck in a requirement.

I need to create a tree map representing unit test coverage where Coverage column is present in Sonar Data (Fact Table).

Coverage is a measure column but no aggregation is applied to it as applying any aggregation, it yields wrong results.

I am able to get correct results by doing so in tabular form as well as line graph however, tree map is not being created as I am not able to Drag the coverage column to "Size By" field.

Can anyone please tell me, what modifications are needed to create a treemap for this use case?

In 12c tree map measures are automatically identified and placed under size by column. You mean you don't see "Coverage" column in the size by drop down ?

By the strictest definition of a "Measure" they must have an aggregation. Period. Even if it's just "LAST".

What's the aggregation of the measure in the BMM layer?

Maybe, but in OBIEE there is a 'no aggregation' option which I have had clients request as an alternative measure (sic) when they genuinely want to see full detail level, typically from drilldown to detail functionality, I have also resorted to this on occasion to get around weird measure aggregation problems usually when using case style functionality...

That is the point I am trying to make. It must be a **measure** in the sense and terms of the tool to be usable.

I have applied "average" measure on my aggregation column and a tree map was created in that way.
