    This HFM integrations sounds half-baked to me, currency must be a cornerstone dimension so for it not be there as standard seems a massive oversight- or is that unfair-  is it like OBIA, it is as good as your knowledge of the internals?

    I wouldnt say half-baked but rather "it fulfills direct access needs".

    Dont forget that HFM just like Planning as applications and have extremely application-specific schemas and models.

    You normally wouldnt hit the base tables of your ERP / CRM / whatever either. They are there to run the business and do very specific transactional tasks.

    Analytically you still pull out a lot - as in extract it physically - to go through it. *Applications* arent like Essbase the cube storage tech and hence a lot less embedded.

    Paraphrasing here but I hope it makes sense. Gianni and me presented on this a couple of times recently, trying to get this point across.

    I, more than many on here perhaps, know the challenge of putting BI over EPM sources, but this seems like such a poor solution that I honestly cannot see the real business application.

    Exactly. Pretty sure the data could be extracted in a more intelligent way but the ADM driver is the ADM driver.

    Thanks all!

    Seems that the adm driver cannot retrieve the metadata attributes in a friendly way.

    We have finally retrieved the entity currency info by importing the currency table from HFM DB to the RPD.
