    Not using standard functionality, no.

But if you are willing to get intrusive see; -

Not out-of-the box functionality in Answers. I think this VA does this, depending on the size of your slices.

In Standard Functionality there is no option to set data-label inside the slice.

i also try to update "....\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\bi_domain\servers\obips1\tmp\earmanager\analytics\dvPleoRkLGJa3+6aC4CQmw\res\s_Alta\master\graph.xml" file parameter "<Slice labelPosition="LP_INSIDE"/>". but it also not working.

Did you restart your services after the change?

  • Just 2 details:

You may want to consider updating your OBIEE to a supported version as supported for 12.2.1.0.0 ended a while ago (and it's also a first release, so with all the issues going with it).

If you want to change a file in a style do not edit files like you did but create your own custom style (even just a 1-to-1 copy of Alta) where to do changed, as otherwise you have no guarantee the system is really using the edited version of the file. Customization is supported, so better to not edit the out of the box files like that.

    Thank you for your Reply.

As your reference link show there has a file "pie.pcxml" and i have to change the DataLabels tag. But In OBIEE12c there is no file with this name.

I found a file with name "pie.cxml", but in this file there is no DataLabels tag.

Sorry, think I may have given you an old solution that is not applicable to your version, and I don't have a local on premise OBIEE to experiment on.

So you're just going to glance over the comment that you are on an unsupported version AND that what you are looking for is vanilla in VA but not in Answers AND the comment on using a custom style?

Congratulations! You are ignoring all comments which could help you and blindly focus on making something work which you should never be doing in the first place - i.e. change the core files.
