Hi All - We have an OBIEE report with 100+ columns. We built the report(simple tabular report with no totals), saved it and it runs fine as well. However, if am doing any editing to it an try saving it i am facing following error.

OBIEE version 12.1.1.2

There was a problem retrieving the response data:

Request Entity Too Large (413). <html><body><h1>Your request encountered an error!</h1></body></html>

Could anyone suggest how this can be resolved.

Pls note the report is running fine i have tried solutions like making a copy of it and re applying the xml. Also some may ask why are we building report with so many columns, it's a requirement

Thanks,

Rahul

"report" as in a BI Publisher object?

Or "analysis" as in an OBIEE object?

Nice that you already say "don't ask because it's a requirement" but at least use the correct wording.

adding to the list of questions:

does it happen with any web browser?

have you tried removing columns till this works? just to find out from which number of columns this may fail?

"it's a requirement" ... yet it's not in keeping with the intent or design of the tool being used ...

meet the requirement with the right tool ...
