Hi All,

OS Version : Windows Server 2012 R2

Memory : 64 GB

JDK Version : 1.8.0_162

I am upgraading OBIEE from 12.2.1.3.0 to 12.2.1.4.0. Readiness Check fails at Schemas & Configurations step (See screemnshot below). This is mentioned in Oracle document and they suggest to apply 3 pactches to weblogic server. I am not able to apply the 3 patch to my current 12.2.1.3.0 environment. Let me know how to resolve this issue ?

I think you may need to raise this with Oracle as @Gianni Ceresa discovered a checksum issue with the 12.2.1.4 installers last week which could be related to your issue.

    Hi Joel,

Thanks for the update. I am following the instructions as mentioned in Doc ID 2153433.1. Domain directories are present only in "Oracle_Home" directory. I am applying these 3 patch to "Oracle_Home" directory. Could you please confirm if that is correct ?

  • Hi,

In the future you may want to consider storing the domain home outside the oracle home as it will make your life easier for upgrades.

    Hi Gianni,

Installation was performed another person and this is how I received it. Could you please confirm the the directory to which the 3 patches need to be applied ? Is it "Oracle_Home"  directory?

    Thanks!

Also download file version for WLS server is given 12.2.1.3.0.

That is correct. Fusion Middleware should be 12.2.1.3 and patch applied to this version

  • The patches are for the 12.2.1.4 setup, so you install FMW 12.2.1.3 and apply the patches on the 12.2.1.4 install you do.

Thanks Gianni & Joel. After applying patch to 12.2.1.4 setup, readiness check completed successfully.
