Unable to Login to Analytics after 12.2.1.4.0 upgrade

Hi All,
OS Version : Windows Server 2012 R2
Memory : 64 GB
JDK Version : 1.8.0_162
I upgraded OBIEE to 12.2.1.4.0. But after upgrade, users can't login to Analytics. I could see below mentioned error in saw.log.
Upgrade Path - 12.2.1.1 --> 12.2.1.3 --> 12.2.1.4
With above upgrade path, I have 3 oracle home in server. Domain home is located inside Oracle_Home
Please let me know how to troubleshoot this and also let me know if any additional information is required.

Single node or cluster Ebin?
Can you access admin server?
When you start manually using start.cmd, does everything come back as "running"?0 -
Hi Adam,
Its Vertical Clustering. Strange thing is this morning, its working fine.I still couldn't figure out what caused login issue yesterday.

Hooray!! That's good news nevertheless although always frustrating when something just "fixes itself".
I'm assuming you upgraded both nodes and restartd both server?I have noticed issues in the past with .lok files not letting themselves go and causing all sorts of problems.
PS I am interested to know how you go with 4. I will most likely be upgrading one of our Dev boxes next week.0 -
We are currently in 12.2.1.1 in Prod. We upgraded one of our server to 12.2.1.3 last week. On the same day, Oracle released 12.2.1.4 . Since our open issues were not fixed in 1.3, we upgraded it to 1.4.
Good thing in 1.4, an issue with OBIEE Agent Subscription is fixed ( ).
Upgrade process was smooth. Checkout Doc ID 2390053.1 and remember to apply 3 patches to 12.2.1.4 Oracle home. (https://community.oracle.com/thread/4139661)

Appreciate the heads up Ebin.
So because we're upgrading from 3, we only need to apply the 3 patches and then run the upgrade tool?
I'm out of the office for the rest of the week but will focus more on this early next week.0 -
I upgraded it to 1.4 before this document was released. So I followed steps for upgrading the weblogic as well.

We've followed the instructions to upgrade to 12.2.1.4 from 12.2.1.x, and applied the requisite patches; however, despite the installation going off without a hitch, I get a blank screen when I try to load the new DV [fka VA] application. The login appears to work correctly and the certificate chain comes back as valid, I just get an empty screen.
If I open up dev tools and look at the console output, I see:
bi.tech.BitechBootstrap/ERROR: Bootstrapping application failed: AJAX request 'sessioninfo' failed during bootstrap. Request 'https://obi.myaddress.com/dv/ui/api/v1/sessioninfo/ext' response: error. Internal Server Error: {"code":"OBI-00001","message":"javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.secirity.validator.validatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target"}
Again, everything worked fine when moving from 12.2.1.0 to 12.2.1.1, 12.2.1.2, and 12.2.1.3.
Any thoughts? Thank you.

Hi Geoff,
Did the same issue happen after disabling internal SSL ?
I don't have internal SSL enabled in my environment. .So I won't be of much help here. Saw issue with SSL in Support doc for 1.3 upgrade. Doc ID 2314918.1
Thanks
Ebin

Thank you for the reply Ebin.
To be honest, I hadn't even considered leaving internal SSL off. Sadly, I just tried it and still get the same error.
I do appreciate your trying to help.

Just a brief status update...
In looking at the dev console feedback a little closer, I saw something referring to host name verification. Once of my Google searches suggested setting the following:
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
-Dweblogic.nodemanager.sslHostNameVerificationEnabled=false
I did so and rebooted and everything is now working correctly.
I would prefer not having this turned off but at least I have a better idea of where the problem lies.
