Odi performance issues in using IKM BIAPPS SQL Target Override

Hi,
I am just using a simple update statement in a interface with IKM IKM BIAPPS SQL Target Override. The update statement runs for a long time when it runs through ODI about 15 - 30 mins . But when run in SQL developer it runs under a second.
What could be the reasons?

Please check the operator log and confirm if its the "Perform Update" step itself which is taking 15-30 mins. I ask this because there is a possibility of other table maintenance tasks which could be dropping / re-building indexes and could be adding to task's overall execution time.
