Login takes ~8 mins post upgrade to OBIEE 12.2.1.4

Dear GURUS,
I am facing delayed login issues post upgrade.
The details are as below:
OBIEE: 12.2.1.4 (Upgraded from 12.2.1.3)
DB: Oracle 11G
Server: Windows Server 2012 R2
The issue is as below:
Before upgrade, all was working fine and login took hardly 30 sec.
Post upgrade, the login to OBIEE is taking more than 7 mins and after that all the process takes more time (1-2 mins to start a new Analysis, and so on).
I'm failing to understand the reason of this slowness. Also, I am unable to debug this performance issue (not sure which logs to check to start debugging).
Any pointers in this direction will be highly appreciated...
Thanks in advance.

It’s quite possible that you need to modify some Java parameters which could speed this up for you. Take a look at this as a starting point - https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12212/biee/BIESG/GUID-124A77A6-150C-46B9-9145-4A994C46C679.htm#BIESG9140

You will need to provide more details in order to help you such as the hardware each of the services runs on.
Without much details, it sounds like your system was slow from the beginning, ie less than 30 seconds to login? For systems I usually work on, anything more than 3 seconds is considered slow.
What I suspect is that your system does not have the sufficient hardware to run adequately and upgrading made it worst by stretching the resources even further. But this is only my suspicion from the brief description you provided and we won't know what the real problem is until more details about your system is provided. You should also provide disk and swap utilisation stats as well as CPU.

Thanks a lot to both @Joel Acha and @handat....
The issue got resolved somehow...
Following https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=100821038316758&id=2408448.1&displayIndex=1&_afrWindowMo… gave an idea that the location of tnsnames.ora has changed significantly in the latest OBIEE 12.2.1.4.
When we changed the location, the login is now pretty fast.
This should be documented as part of the upgrade document.
Thanks a lot to both of you for the suggestions..
