upload/download rpd

Question

I have a small question .. is it required to stop bi services before  to downlaod the rpd?

do we need to restart the bi services after uplaoding the rpd?

You must restart OBIEE componenets if your servers are in cluster, otherwise no!

In 12c these don’t require the OBIEE components to be restarted.

What you you may need is to reload server metadata if you have existing sessions.
