    Hi Avinash,

    Thanks for the suggestion. I am able to see spend data for previous years, using the Spend & Year columns

    Hi Gianni,

    As Avinash said, you need to check if you have data for the previous year for the "Spend" column as the formula of "Spend Year Ago" uses the AGO function.

    Possibly I have missed this. But, where are you guys seeing the 'AGO' function?

    Regards,

    Charles

    I see it now:

  • Yes, that one

    And when you look into what is "Spend" you see it's not a simple column, it's a CASE WHEN on top of 2 LTS which are each a join of multiple tables.

    So the generated SQL will be "not really nice to read".

    Hi Gianni, Avanish,

    Thanks for the help thus far. I'm going to open an SR with the Bi Apps team to further troubleshoot.

    Regards,

    Charles

  • Sorry to not be able to give you more but those things really needs to have the hands on the system to debug properly and find the root cause. All I have is an OBIA RPD coming from not even sure which version (so no DB and nothing else than the RPD).

    you can create a custom column using AGO function for year and check are you able to see the data for this?? may be the problem with OOTB column in OBIA.

  • Rank 8 - Analytics Strategist

    Just about certain to be OOTB problem - when last I tried AGO on finance OTBI the majority of subjects areas did not support or did not fully support AGO due to sub-optimal* modelling in the rpd

    * I am being generous
