How to make saved customization dynamic

Hi Experts,

We have an requirement where we need to make saved customization as dynamic.

For ex. we have two prompt Month and Year. If user saved his dashboard with Jan 2019 . Next month he should be seeing this saved dashboard with Feb 2019.

Is this possible. How we can we achieve it.

    Hi,

    Why are you using this through customisation when the same can be achieved through dynamic repository variable? Make a default value for those columns as SERVER VARIABLE and name the respective variables in the box.

    If you look at the XML of a saved customization then you will see that that's not how they work or what they store.

    As Sagar said you would approach this differently that's what variables are there for. Server variables for values pertaining to ALL users in the same way. Session variables pertaining to ONE GIVEN user - so they can change from user to user.
