Summary - Detail Report rows are mismatching in OBIEE12c

Hi ,

when i am doing testing in Dev environment for the one of the summary report ,Could see that summary having 5 records for the date 07-sep-15 but detail report is showing only 2 records.

Summary Report:

If I click on roster start time like 10:00 AM ,it is showing first 2 records as per above screenshot but for the date  07-Sep-15,there are 5 records.

Detail Report:

please help me here with some inputs .

    We are good but not psychic.

    Without sight of your subject area, your filters on the target analysis, what kind of action link it is we cannot even start to guess why your two reports are different.

    But - here goes with my Professor X powers - we are talking a drill down action - if that is the case then OBIEE will typically use all rows data in the row that you clicked as the basis of opening the target report.

    In your case it looks like the following fields have an 'Is Prompted' filter on the columns, giving you the behaviour you describe.

    Project Id, Country, City, Customer, Supervisor Name - there may be others...

    Can you run the physical query generated in both the reports and see if the data is matching with what is there in the report?

    I ran the both summary and detail report physical queries in the DB and it is giving as expected ...but why it is not showing 5 records as per date 07-sep-2015 ???

    why it is considering supervisor name column and displaing 2 records instead of 5 ??

    i need more inputs to check further

    Thanks for inputs .yes above mentioned columns are prompted at criteria side.

    its coming from 2 subject areas.

    If you are prompting your detail report on the 5 columns that Robert Angel mentioned, you will only get the records with the Supervisor of the particular  "10:00:00 AM" that you click on.  Have you carried too many filters into your drill report?

    Yes. detail report having 15 filters but in summary report having 10 filters at critera section
