Demo VM for exploring OBIEE 12c

Question

Hello All,

I am looking for a demo VM for exploring OBIEE 12c. Found one in the below path

technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/obiee-samples-167534.html.

Have few doubts.

1) will i be able to control fusion middle ware and weblogic in this VM?

2) Can i modify RPD?

3) Is it possible to access the underlying 12c DB and create some sample schemas/tables and import it and use it in RPD?

4)Can i install any other apps such as ETL tools in the VM and connect to the available DB?

Can you please suggest me another VM available for download if the above cannot be done. It would be a great help

Hi,

You have full access to everything, so yes for 1, 2 and 3.

For 4 is a yes as well, but of course the VM is setup to run what it contains, so you will maybe need to add a new disk or things like that and install some other OS packages etc.

SampleApp is the only official Oracle OBIEE 12c available VM.
